tIME tO mOVe oN...withOUT ma...

today a year ago, ma went home to the lord. this morning, me, cheh, sa and mom took some flowers to ma's "condominium".

after having ma around for so many years, it's kinda strange tat she is no longer around. not a single day passed us by the last one year tat we didn't think of her. much as she was rather annoying, scold-scold, nag-nag...we miss her. ma was also predictable..even now, when we do something or say something, mom or sa would sometimes imitate the exact response ma would have given!! ma is so much alive in us even tho she is no longer with us. guess tat's wat "memory remains" means. well, ma...u have a good rest, sleep well, but please turn down the volume on your snore!!!

glad today is over...time to move on with life...minus ma but with pa, mom, cheh, sa, ash...and yes...aunty leezee, aunty roachy, uncle wormy...and ze rest of ze world...goosnite now!!

oNe Week mORe...and mERdeKAAAAAA!!

ah yoh...the raya break is coming to an end. wat a shame! one more day and it's back to school. so sian! but then this break isn't all tat fun either...sa and i had to hit our books. mom truly lived up to her word -- she didn't let up on us, and with her working from home, there was no way we could do anything else. mom must have been in the military in her previous life!! her word is command, don't follow... it's "piak" <-- tat's the sound of her hands touching our butt! cheh...well...she is from another planet -- all she does is study, sleep, eat "tiger" biscuits, drink milk, and then study again. sa and i really cannot tahan her. she is a "cacing buku"...yaks!!

one more week...tat's IT. after tat...sa and i are going to have fun.......awwwwwwwwwwweeee. cheh will still have to cacing buku for another 1.5 months...have fun, cheh. sa and i shall be with u in spirit!!!

mAId-LeSs in BeE JeH

woweee..we survived 5 glorious maid-less days. fun and great to have the house back to ourselves. we helped mom with the chores -- cleaned up our own rooms, swept the floor, took out the thrash, blah-blah. even pa did his bit -- the garden and my "studio apartment" are his daily chores! mom seems to enjoy this maid-less time -- reclaiming the kitchen, pots & pans, laundry, ironing, etc. thus far, we have survived mom's fried rice, spaghetti and dinner dishes. they were rather good, we must say! this is a great example of "family support conquers all", and "more hands/paws make light work"!!






look at us -- cheh , me and sa -- were so spaced out. was in quite a danger zone -- look properly and u will see that i was lying on cheh's butt. thank God she tadak 'u-know-wat'lah, otherwise i'd have pengsan!


a bigger woWeeEEE...school is out for a good 11 days. so haaaapppppeeeee. but mom is not letting up. she says sa and i must study at least 2 hours each day before anything else. sigh...final exams are up week of oct 22. on the brighter side -- 1 full week of studying --> exam ---> MErDeKA! MErDeKA! MErDeKA!

time to tidur. "maaf zahir batin" to all. nighty goosnite...ta-ta

oVERwHElmed...

wah...one week has passed since my last blog post. and so many things have happened. friday was mom's birthday. another wrinkle, another white hair (oh...mom says it is speelage of her grey matter, something about her being such a brain -- a state of denial cheh, sa and i agreed...ooo-wah...for ONCE they agreed with me!!)

well..back to mom's birthday. i guess it was hard on her this year. u see, mom and ma shared the same birthday, and for the past many years (ok-ok...i can't say how many because mom says i can't say...i am an obedient kid, ok?!), the one thing mom has always done on the morning of her birthday was to go wish ma "happee birthday, mee". this year, she could no longer. quite sad.

that was friday. sunday was kakak's balik kampung day. now we are on our own. sa has drawn up a roster for cheh, me and herself. and we are all going to be mom's guinea pig --- god, please strengthen our stomachs!! actually, i m exaggerating -- mom's cooking is not too bad. as she would say, it is not a matter of can or cannot, but want or don't want!! eeeesh...

alrighty...time to hit the sack...zzzzzzzzzzz. goosnite!

today is my birtzday but the whole day was uneventful until about 9.45pm. everyone was home by then...and that was when mom rolled out me birtzday cake..i mean, birtzday muffin. yubbbadaabbaadooo! i am easily pleased...food and more food. so here it is...
